this game uses a coyote-jump mechanic. if you perform such a jump from a jump boost platform it will not register the jump height increase allowing you to use said platforms in place of regular ones. to fix this problem the game should probably store the last type of platform you where standing on instead of doing a check of the type of platform that is bellow the player at the time of the jump.
